    An easy to grow, decorative and healthy kale plant

    This Italian kale has beautiful dark green leaves and looks really striking in the vegetable patch when it’s fully grown. In fact, many people choose to plant it in borders for exactly that reason. It’s easy to grow (easier than many other brassicas) and will provide you with leaves for several months.     A space-saving, easy-growing kale
    This is a very popular, compact curly kale that is great for pots (and beds, too!) and requires little attention to produce a good crop. It is exceptionally hardy and grows really well through autumn and winter giving you a nice, constant supply of healthy greens from your garden. You can plant curly kale in spring for use in late summer and early autumn, or plant in summer/early autumn for a winter harvest. Cover with mesh netting to protect from pests.     In the kitchen: This kale can be steamed, baked or fried with a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkled with seasoning to make delicious kale crisps or even used in smoothies.

    This is a fun new addition to our range of brassicas – it’s a cross between sprouts, kale and purple sprouting broccoli! An attractive plant with a mix of purple and green tones, this will give you a good supply of kale-like leaves throughout the winter and then a secondary supply of outer leaves in early spring as well.     In the kitchen: The best way to retain the amazing health properties of kale is to steam the leaves. However it can also be sauteed, braised, roasted and stir fried making it an extremely versatile vegetable to use.

    This is one of our favourites!

    You get really lovely tones of colour on this kale plant as it grows, making it a very attractive addition to your veg patch and of course, it’s super healthy and easy to grow. We’re sure you will enjoy it just as much as we do! Growing kale is very easy from plug plants – just pop them in the ground and keep them well watered. It is best to net them to protect from birds and butterflies, but full growing advice is in the guide included with your plug plants and makes it super simple.
