    Fernleaf Dill is a dwarf variety growing to just 45cm in height. A green herb with wiry, thread-like leaves that grow in clusters, it has a strong, distinctive taste that is like a combination of fennel, anise and celery, with warm, slightly bitter undertones.

    Great for protecting your tomatoes, chillies and aubergines!

    In the kitchen: Treat dill like bay leaves and let it add flavour to soups and stews, or add to the cooking water when you boil potatoes. Dill can also be used in bread, soups, vegetable dishes, and pickles, salad dressings, or to make dill vinegar. It works well with fish dishes.

    Chervil is confused with parsley because of its leaves. This annual has an unusual aniseed flavour and is very rich in vitamins.

    Summer Savory is an annual herb that produces peppery-flavoured leaves all summer. It is a real winner for stews, stuffings and roast veggies. The flavour is somewhere between thyme and pepper – much better and smoother once cooked, rather than being eaten raw. Best grown in well-drained soil, or in a pot with good drainage. Our Summer Savory plug plants come in sets of 3 in small 8.5cm biodegradable pots, ready to be planted straight away.
