A great spinach alternative

Mild in flavour with brilliant purple leaves, orach makes a colourful alternative to spinach and will brighten up any salad bowl. These are fast growing plants that produce two-toned red/purple leaves through summer. The plants can grow tall (up to 2.5m) and are best planted in a bed or border, but will do okay in a large patio container too.

I noticed that the bay tree has done some good growing and it's now shading out even more of the raised bed that runs beside it.
