Winter Savory is an evergreen herb that produces needle-like leaves all year round. It is a real winner for winter comfort food – think stews, stuffings and roast veg. The flavour is somewhere between thyme and mint – much better and smoother once cooked, rather than being eaten raw. Best grown in well-drained soil, or in a pot with good drainage.
