Brussels Sprouts

This favourite for a family roast makes a great addition to the veg patch!
Brussels are best planted out in July to give a winter crop around Christmas time, and wow your family and friends with homegrown Brussels that are packed with flavour. When it comes to harvesting them, always start at the bottom of the stalk, picking just what you need and working your way up. Sprouts are a brassica so pop a brassica collar around the base when you plant them and net them against birds.
