Fig ‘Brown Turkey’ is the variety we offer, and it does really well in a large pot in a sunny spot, ideally in front of a south facing wall that will radiate a little extra warmth.

How to plant Fig
- Plant in a sunny, sheltered spot, either in the ground trained against a wall, or in a container (re-pot every other year).
- Will grow to 3-4m over the course of 10 years so if planting in the ground, bear this in mind!
How to grow Fig
- Keep well watered while plants are getting established.
- Protect from harsh frost with hroticultural fleece.
- Prune out a third of the branches in March each year.
How to harvest Fig
- You can expect to harvest figs in August/September, depending on the season.
- You may get a second flurry in October/November.
- Wait until fruits are slightly soft and squishy. They should be hanging down from the branches rather than pointing upwards.
