This guide is for growing a cherry bush, as opposed to a cherry tree, which will eventually grow into a shrub around 1.5m tall.

How to plant Cherry Bush
- Plant it in a nice sunny spot that is reasonably sheltered from the wind.
- Plant 2m apart if growing in pairs.
- We find it is best grown in the ground, but you can also plant in large containers (re-pot as it grows).
How to grow a Cherry Bush
- Very easy-going, just water frequently for the first few weeks, and then during dry spells
- Prune in winter by removing old, damaged or diseased branches.
- Grows to approx 1.5m tall.
Harvesting Cherries
- Expect fruit from year 3 onwards.
- Harvest when cherries turn dark red, probably in July.
