Dwarf beans are such a good choice for those with smaller plots – perhaps you’re growing just a few veggies in pots by the back door, or only have space for a couple of grow bags…
You still get an excellent crop
Don’t be put off by the idea that you won’t get to harvest much from dwarf beans, because it isn’t true. You can get great harvests over several weeks, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Perfect for small pots
A single dwarf bean to a 20cm pot will do really well as long as you keep them well watered. An alternative is to plant 3-5 to a larger, wider pot/planter or growbag as long as you are able to leave 20cm between plants.
Need little space in beds
If you’re growing them in beds or in the ground, dwarf beans can be a real space saver as they only need 20cm apart, where climbing beans with their supports will take up significantly more space.
