Vietnamese Coriander is a popular herb in Asian cooking – it’s very punchy in flavour and has quite a striking look. Vietnamese Coriander is a perennial – mulch it in late autumn to protect the roots and it will die back over winter, ready to grow again in spring. It will tolerate light frosts, and may keep growing during mild winters.

How to Plant Vietnamese Coriander
- Will do well in sun or partial shade.
- Choose a sheltered spot with rich, well-draining soil.
- Plant 50cm apart as they will get quite bushy
How to Grow Vietnamese Coriander
- Don’t be afraid to cut back quite hard from time to time to keep the plant more bushy
- Protect from hard frost/snow in the winter – if growing in pots you can move them to a more sheltered spot, or cover the plants with fleece if growing in beds.
- It will do well with a mulch added in late autumn
How to Harvest Vietnamese Coriander
- Harvest sprigs of Vietnamese Coriander as you want to use them – use the leaves only to add to stir-fries, curries and other dishes
