It’s so pleasing to pull up a bunch of deep purple carrots from the ground. The flesh is purple too and the colour stays when cooked. This variety is lovely and sweet in flavour, and tends to grow quite long providing the roots are not disturbed. Our plug plants come in biodegradable pots and we would recommend planting them like this to avoid disturbing the roots. Plant your carrots early-mid September for a harvest before Christmas making them a colourful addition to your Christmas Roast! If the weather starts to get chilly/frosty then cover with a fleece or grow in a greenhouse. These carrots are easy to grow, just follow the growing guide advice when your plug plants arrive.
