Good flavour, and seems less popular with slugs
This variety is full of flavour. It is usually ready to harvest in late June after planting in March, and produces waxy tubers with yellow flesh. There’s no scientific basis for the argument that this variety tends to be less damaged by slugs, but if you do find your potatoes are normally slug-damaged, Pentland Javelin may be worth a try! They are good cut and boiled for salads, but you can use them for roasting and mashing as well.
Number of tubers (seed potatoes): 10
Variety: Pentland Javelin (First Early)
In the Kitchen: A good variety for boiling and treating as new potatoes
Delivery: We start shipping seed potatoes in February
