A brilliant looking bean for drying and storing

These are really special to grow. They will produce several green bean pods which you can harvest in the summer, but it is much more fun to wait until the pods mature towards the end of the summer and open them up to reveal these beautiful orca-like beans. Dry them out and store them in a jar and you can add to stews and soups through the winter. Our plug plants are easy to grow and come with a complete growing guide.

In the kitchen: Best left to mature and turn yellow on the plant, then dry out the beans and store in an airtight jar for winter casseroles and soups. You can use the beans like runner beans as well by harvesting while they are still green.
