Summer Squash – Custard White

A Patty-Pan Variety of Summer Squash
This interesting and very attractive patty pan bush type variety of summer squash produces creamy white flat fruits with scalloped edge and a very fine flavour. They have a delicate white skin (which is tender like a courgette rather than tough like winter squash).  The plants are fairly compact so a good option for growing in large pots or beds alike. In the kitchen: Roast these squashes whole or grill slices on the bbq, or lightly fry. Chilli, lime and garlic work really well with it.
